Carry On Counseling opened in Pearland, Tx in March of 2024. We are an in-network provider for many major insurance companies so our clients have access to quality counseling services at affordable prices. We have both Licensed Professional Counselors (LPC's) and Licensed Professional Counselor Associates (LPC-A's) on our staff.
Our LPC's are in-network for Texas residents with the following insurance providers:
Our LPC-A's are not able to accept insurance for payment until they are fully licensed, so LPC-A appointments will be at a reduced cash pay rate. See cost of sessions below for more info.
FAQ's of Insurance and Billing
What if I don't have insurance or have an insurance company not listed as one of your in network providers?
You can still choose to come to Carry On Counseling If you do not have insurance or do not have coverage with the providers listed above. You would pay a cash rate per session for counseling services . The out of network insurance/cash pay rate will be $175 for an Intake first appointment per counseling session, $155 for an individual counseling session and $175 for a couple or family session.
What if I'm not sure what kind of coverage I have?
Just like medical insurance, coverage is different for mental health and behavior health services depending on your insurance company, insurance plan and your specific coverage. You can call the number on the back of your insurance card to talk to a representative from your insurance company to see what your benefits are for counseling services. You may have a copay or you may have a deductible before your provider begins paying at a certain percentage.
What if I have insurance from a provider that is not in network or I don't want to use my insurance?
If you have a provider not listed above and choose to use Carry On Counseling, counseling services would be out of network. Your insurance company may accept super bills for reimbursement. Super bills are available for you to submit to your out of network insurance company for possible reimbursement. Inquire with your insurance company for details on your benefits.
Does Carry On Counseling accept Employee Assistance Plans (EAPs) from my employer?
Carry On no longer accepts EAP plans. Once your insurance benefits are verified through our insurance and billing team, you will know what your cost would be for each session before you come in for an appt. You would be responsible for either your copay, the amount required per your deductible or the cash rate per session if you are not using insurance for your session.
What if I make an appointment and I have to cancel my session?
Cancellation policy: If you miss a counseling session or do not cancel a session with at least a 24 hours notice prior to your appointment, you will be responsible for an $80 cancellation fee.
If you have any other questions about cost of a session or billing, please email shara@carryoncounseling.com or call 346-642-1156.
